What happened at the Hustle
Eight crews battled across three rounds — breaking, all-styles and a choreography showcase judged by touring artists. Between rounds the floor opened to everyone: the open cypher ran for two hours straight with our instructors trading rounds alongside first-time battlers.
Guest DJs mixed funk, breakbeats and current hip-hop all night, and the evening closed with a 5-vs-5 exhibition battle between our own Coppergrace crew and last year's champions. Over 300 people packed the main hall.

How battles work
Crews draw lots for bracket order, trade 45-second rounds, and judges score on musicality, originality, technique and crowd response. Newcomers enter the all-styles rookie bracket — the friendliest way to taste competition.
